UPDATE (12:00 p.m.) – Lansing Police have identified the three suspects in Thursday’s homicide investigation as 26-year-old Amber Shauna Marie Kohls of Lansing, 26-year-old Matthew Ryan Green of Lansing and 27-year-old Brandon Lee Addiss of Lansing.
The Ingham County Prosecutor has charged all three suspects and they were arraigned in court on the following charges:
Addiss and Kohls are each charged with open murder. They’re bond is remanded.
Addiss is also charged as a habitual offender.
Green is charged with accessory after the fact. His bond is set at $250,000.
During the course of the investigation, Lansing Police learned the three suspects and victim (53-year-old John William Darnell Jr. from Lansing) knew each other.
Authorities say the suspects and victim got into a verbal argument which turned physical that lead to the victim being stabbed.
All three suspects are scheduled in court in front of Judge Deluca for a probable cause hearing on October 27th at 8:30 a.m. and a preliminary exam on November 3rd at 8:30 a.m.

UPDATE (3:28p.m.) – The victim has been identified as John William Darnell Jr. He is 53 years old from Lansing.
Lansing Police have 3 suspects under arrest for this crime. Two 26 year old’s, one male and one female, and one 27 year old male.
This homicide investigation continues. Suspect charges will be sought through the Ingham County Prosecutors office.
UPDATE (11:30 a.m.) – The Lansing Police have made three arrests in connection with a homicide investigation.
The body of a 53-year-old Lansing man was found in the water near Scott Woods Park on the 2600 block of Clifton.
Lansing Police, Michigan State Police, along with the Capital Area Dive Team responded to the area and located the man’s body in the river.
The Lansing Police received the initial information from the Michigan State Police Fugitive team, who had received a tip that there was a man’s body in the river.

UPDATE (8:15 a.m.) – Lansing Police have confirmed to 6 News that the body of a man was found in Sycamore Creek inside a local park Thursday evening.
The spokesperson tells 6 News the death is being investigated as “suspicious” and they are talking to “persons of interest” in connection with the death.
If the suspicious death is a homicide it would be the 12th in Lansing this year.

LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – More information is expected today out of Lansing where there were reports of a body found in a local creek.
According to State Police that report came in around 6 p.m. Thursday evening.
Law enforcement agencies, including a State Police diver, were sent to Sycamore Creek inside Scott Woods Park.
Police kept our camera crew pretty far back.
But we know multiple Lansing Police officers and State Police were on the scene as well as an MSP forensic unit.
Officials were on the scene for at least a couple of hours.
We have calls into police from both departments and will update this story when more information becomes available.
