Precautionary boil water advisory for Hamburg Township residents lifted

UPDATE (WLNS 12:00 P.M.) – The Livingston Community Water Authority (LCWA) says the precautionary boil water advisory to those living in Hamburg Township has been lifted.

LCWA says with the repair of a water main, temporary shut down of the water system and the completion of the bacteriological survey…the water is now safe to drink.

LCWA asks if you have any questions call 810-231-1333 ext 102.

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Earlier this morning, the water was down in Hamburg Township to repair a main water break. The water was off for about 2 hours.

Since the water pressure was taken down to zero pressure, a precautionary boil water advisory has been issued for 72 hours or until notified.

This advisory is intended for any water that will be used for human consumption.
