UPDATE: Man injured in Vermontville crash

UPDATE 8:20 a.m. – The Eaton County Sheriff’s Office tells 6 News that a 52-year-old Vermontville man who was airlifted to a local hospital with injuries after a one-vehicle crash last night is in critical condition today.

Deputies say the man was driving on the 5000 block of Allegan Road in Vermontville just before 9:00 p.m. when the left the road and hit several trees.

He was alone in the vehicle.

The investigation is continuing.

VERMONTVILLE, Mich (WLNS) – Eaton County Sheriff’s officials tell us a man is in critical condition right now after his car left the road and crashed into some trees last night.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. in Vermontville Township on Allegan Road.

Sheriff’s officials are still investigating but say speed may have played a role.
