JACKSON, Mich (WLNS) – The recount has begun in Jackson County.
70,000 ballots from across Jackson County are being counted in the Jackson County Tower.
The county clerk tells 6 News Jackson bureau reporter Aaron Dimick that they expect to complete that part of the recount sometime Thursday night.
Ballots from Hillsdale County will be coming to the county building tomorrow to be counted.
Jackson is being used as a regional hub for the recount.
Clerks from cities and townships in the county and election workers are counting the ballots.
This is the biggest recount that’s ever happened in Jackson County and don’t have an estimate of the cost yet.
The County Clerk says they’ll halt all counting if direction comes down from the state.
