Ingham County recount complete; Stein loses two votes

MASON, Mich (WLNS) – The presidential recount in Ingham County is over.

Ingham County Clerk Barb Byrum tells 6 News the recount wrapped up just before 1:00 p.m. today.

The ballots were recounted for the county’s 115 precincts even as the decision is still to be made if the process will continue statewide.

As a result of the recount Jill Stein, who asked for the recount, lost two votes.

Hillary Clinton gained 135 votes and Donald Trump gained 73 votes.

That net difference of 65 votes is the end result of recounting about 136,000 votes.

Byrum tweeted a humorous video to mark the completion of the process.
