Police discover meth lab in downtown Lansing

LANSING, Mich. – Local authorities discovered a meth lab near downtown Lansing Tuesday.

Lansing Police, along with Michigan State Police found the set up in the 400 block of South Washington Square Tuesday afternoon, and spent hours on scene cleaning up the hazardous chemicals.

Officials say the chemicals used to produce methamphetamine are toxic and unstable, making it an unusual find in a crowded area.

No arrests have been made at the time, but officials continue to talk with persons of interest.
