Ingham County Clerk looking for recount workers

MASON, Mich (WLNS) – Now that the results of the November 8 election have been certified the call for a recount in the presidential race is being heard.

Green Party candidate Jill Stein is positioned to file the necessary paperwork to begin a recount in the Donald Trump – Hillary Clinton race.

In Michigan Trump won the popular vote by fewer than 11,000 votes.

Now Ingham County Clerk Barb Byrum is looking for people who can serve as recount workers.

The positions are located in Mason and are paid, working shifts from 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. including weekends.

If you are interested Byrum asks that you send her this information:

  1. First and last name
  2. Cell phone number
  3. Email address
  4. Party affiliation
  5. If you served as a poll worker or challenger at a polling location during the November 8th General Election, at which precinct(s) did you work?
  6. What days are you available to work the entire 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. shift (through December 12)
