MASON, Mich (WLNS) – Former Ingham County prosecutor Stuart Dunnings III has until 6:00 p.m. tonight to surrender himself at the Ingham County jail.

Once he is checked in there he’ll be taken to the Clinton County jail to serve one year behind bars.

He was sentenced to three years probation with the first year spent in jail.

Dunnings pleaded guilty in August to Misconduct in Office, a felony, and a misdemeanor charge of soliciting a prostitute.

In exchange for that plea many other charges against him were dropped.

His arrest earlier this year came from a federal investigation into human trafficking in the area.
