One dead in Jackson armed robbery

JACKSON, Mich (WLNS) – Jackson Police are searching for three suspects in connection with a deadly armed robbery Wednesday night.

Police tell 6 News that three men walked into the Log Cabin Store at 500 Fourth Street just before 9:00 p.m.

One of the men pulled out a long gun and shot the clerk in the neck.

The three men attempted to break into the cash register but were unable to open it before running from the store.

A K-9 unit tracked the suspects until the trail ended without finding the three.

The 31-year-old store employee was taken to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital were he died.

Police are looking for three black men, approximately 18-25 years old and wearing dark clothing.
