State Christmas tree to be lit tonight in Lansing

Annual Silver Bells Holiday Celebration

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Rainy weather during this year’s Silver Bells in the City event meant that the annual tree lightning was pushed back to Tuesday night.

The official time is 7:00 p.m.

The event is outside the Capitol downtown and it’s open to the public.

Lansing singer Taylor Taylor will perform before Mayor Virg Bernero conducts the lighting.

This year’s tree traveled nearly 300 miles from Sault Saint Marie.
