Man injured after shots fired in south-east Lansing

LANSING, Mich. – Police are looking the person who shot and critically injured a man Wednesday night in south east Lansing.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. at an apartment complex on the 2100-block of Forest Road, near the intersection of Mount Hope and Aurelius.

Police initially were responding to a shot fired call, but when they arrived, they found a victim with gunshot wounds.

Police believe this was a targeted attack, and don’t feel there is any threat to the public.

Investigators are working on gathering witnesses and possible suspects, but say they are working with limited information at this time.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Lansing Police Department.
