Amber Alert issued for missing Detroit infant (LOCATED)

(WLNS) – An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 11-month-old baby.

Police say the baby girl was taken from the area of the I-94 Service Drive and Moross by her biological mother, Markita Dupree. The girl and her mother disappeared when the baby was being taken to the doctor for a check up.

Officials say the baby’s foster mother was driving the two of them, when Dupree asked to be dropped off.

Police say the 33-year-old went to kiss the baby, Savanna Wreford, goodbye, grabbed her and ran away. She is believed to be on foot.

They were last seen around 4:00 p.m.

Wreford was last seen wearing a pink and white jack with grey pants with flowers. She suffers from sickle-cell anemia and needs medications.

Dupree was wearing a pink hoodie and black jacket, with blue jeans and black boots. She is 5’6″ and weighs about 130 pounds.

Dupree has talked about leaving Detroit.

If you have any information, call 911 immediately.

EDIT: Savanna has been found safe. Police have not yet released details.
