Donald Trump takes a softer stand on issues during 60 Minutes interview

(WLNS)- Less than a week since he became President-elect, Donald Trump has already made two key appointments and continues his transition into the White House.

Trump named Republican Party Chairman Reince Priebus as his Chief of Staff and former head of Breitbart News, Steve Bannon, as his chief strategist and senior counselor.

Those selections came on the same day that Mr. Trump gave his first post-election broadcast interview on national television with 60 Minutes.

Sunday night President-elect Donald Trump sat down with 60 minutes and took a softer stance to some hard issues.

One in particular was Trump’s more gentle approach to building a wall, even stating that a fence could serve the country well.

As it relates to appointing a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton’s emails, Trump said he wants to give that option more thought.

Inauguration day for the President-elect is just 66 days away and when he’s in the White House, Trump says he’ll only take a salary of one dollar per-year.
