Larry Nassar won’t be serving on the Holt School Board.

Nassar was one of three candidates running for two seats on the board.

Until a few months ago, Nassar was perhaps best known for his service on behalf of USA Gymnastics. He worked with gymnasts and traveled to the Olympic Games. He also used to work at Michigan State University.

But Nassar now faces two lawsuits from gymnasts who say he sexually abused them. He’s also being investigated by authorities to see if he broke any laws.

He was also fired from his role at Michigan State University.

Nassar, in a statement from his attorneys, denies any wrongdoing and says he used legitimate medical techniques on his patients.

Nassar has not been charged with any crimes.

Laura Colligan and Ben Bakken won the two available spots on the school board.
