(WLNS) – Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is also making a stop in our state today.

He’ll make his final push in Grand Rapids.

With just two days before the presidential election the polls are tightening and both parties are starting to realize what kind of role Michigan could play.

That’s why a volunteer at a local Trump-Pence office, Jake Gardener, drove in from Omaha, Nebraska to join Michigan’s Republican campaign.

Gardener explained “it meant so much to me that I couldn’t help but take as much time off as I could spare and do whatever they need.”

Within the next 24-hours Michigan will have a visit from the sitting president, Barack Obama, both presidential nominees, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump and Republican vice presidential candidate Mike Pence.

According to Tim Lineberger this rare opportunity will give people a chance to ask their last minute questions.

“There’s a number of polls that say that there’s still over 10 percent undecideds here in michigan,” said Trump Michigan communications director. “So to give people a chance to actually go and hear from the candidates themselves to go and hear from the family themselves is a whole different perspective.”

Volunteers at Lansing’s Trump campaign office have been working non-stop, using this critical time to their advantage.

Lineberger continues “we’re really just channeling all that energy, and making sure that we call every voter, every person who we thinks going to vote, every person who still has an absentee ballot still sitting at home, and we make sure that we get in contact with them and let them know, this is the chance of a lifetime for Michigan to really have an impact on the entire world.”
