Lansing School District asks students what new furniture to buy

LANSING, Mich. – The Lansing School District is spending a part of a $120 million bond issue on furniture.

Before they do, though, they are getting reviews on furniture from the students themselves.

The Pathway Promise Furniture Bus Tour is headed to Reo Elementary School on November 3.

The intent is to let students try samples of furniture and pick the items they prefer.

Superintendent Yvonne Caamal Canul says the district wants input from everyone, including staff and students.

The money for this purchase was approved by voters back in May.
