Inmate convicted in January prison death

FREELAND, Mich. – An inmate has been sentenced to at least an additional 20 years for the death of a fellow inmate in January.

24-year old Timothy Dickerson of Alpena could serve as much as an additional 40 years.

In January, 23-year-old Jason Turnbull of Howell was found unresponsive in his cell inside the Saginaw Correctional Facility after reports of a fight, and died later that night.

According to WHMI, Dickerson issued a no contest plea.
