UPDATE 3:45 p.m. – The Michigan State Police have released the name of the Morrice woman killed when the car she was driving collided with a train in Shiawassee County Sunday night.
49-year-old Theresa Miller was alone in the car when it hit the train just before 11:00 p.m.
The investigation into the crash is continuing.
UPDATE 10:45 a.m. – A 49-year-old Morrice woman has died when the car she was driving collided with Canadian Northern train Sunday night.
The Michigan State Police say the woman was driving north on Beardslee Road when she hit the train at a crossing between Bath and Beard Roads in Shiawassee County.
The woman was alone in the car and died at the scene.
An investigation is continuing.
SHAFTSBURG, Mich. (WLNS) – Sheriff’s officials are investigating a deadly crash between a car and train that happened Sunday night.
The collision occurred near the tracks in the area of Beard Road and Shaftsburg in Shiawassee County.
Sheriff’s officials have not released many details, but said the accident took place just before 11:00 p.m.
Authorities say they are still working to find out more information and the case is currently under investigation.
