UPDATE 11:32 a.m. – The Lansing Police are releasing the identities of three people who died today in a double homicide and suicide.
Lansing Police chief Mike Yankowski says 28-year-old Marcus Osby of Lansing committed suicide after shooting 29-year-old Latoy Tate and 25-year-old Xazier Dean, also of Lansing.
According to police Osby was the father of two children with Tate. Those children were not in the house on the 2100 block of Truman Circle when the shootings occurred just after 1:00 a.m. today.
Police responded to a call to check on the welfare of a person living at that address and found the three. They were dead of apparent gunshot wounds.

UPDATE 8:51 a.m. – The Lansing Police are confirming that three people are dead as a result of a double homicide and suicide early this morning on the city’s southeast side. Lansing Police Chief Mike Yankowski will have details on the shootings later this morning.

LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – 6 News is following a breaking news out of Lansing right now where police say they found 3 people shot to death inside a home.
Lansing police arrived to the home on 2100 block of Truman Circle just after 1 this morning. When they entered the residence, they found one woman and two men in their mid to late 20’s shot to death.
Based on what they currently know, police do not believe that there is any sort of threat to the public at this time.
Police are also not looking for any specific people at this time.
