UPDATE: Man shot in North Lansing, police say act is not random

UPDATE 11:00 a.m. – The search continues for the man Lansing Police say pulled a gun and shot multiple times at a 24-year-old man last night.

It happened just after 9:30 p.m. on the 300 block of West Grand River, just west of Old Town Lansing.

According to police the victim walked out of a store and ran into a man with whom he had an ongoing dispute.

The suspect pulled a gun and began shooting.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and, police say, he is expected to survive his injuries.

Investigators are still developing a description of the suspect and vehicle used.

We will make that information available as soon as it is released.

LANSING, Mich. – A shooting occurred on the 300 block of West Grand River, north of the Downtown area, at around 9:00 p.m. on October 24.

One man was shot and took himself to a local hospital for treatment.

Police told 6 News that they do not think the shooting was random, but it is unclear if the shooter was known to the victim.
