Check cashing business robbed in Frandor area

LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – Police from several agencies are searching the Frandor area for a man suspected of robbing a check-cashing business.

Just after 11:00 a.m. police were called to the Advance America Check Cashing store on the 300 block of East Saginaw in Lansing Township.

Police say a man walked into the business and demanded money.

He left the business with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A K-9 unit is involved in the search, as are several patrol cars.

The suspect was described as a white male, 45 to 50 years of age with a beard.

He was wearing layered clothing that consisted of blue jeans, blue hoody, a light colored cap and gloves.
