6 Sports Play of The Week October 24

LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – We tap into hockey for our 6 Sports Play of The Week tonight.

We do this each and every Monday during our 6:00 sportscast.

Last week in Ann Arbor Michigan welcomed back its 1996 championship team.

It was during that season that Mike Legg scored one of the most famous and unusual goals in college hockey: The puck on the toe of his stick tally.

So Legg re-enacted the shot during a between-periods game of Score-o and buried it in the little 5-hole.

For your memory Legg actually pulled off this trick shot against Minnesota, doing it like he had a lacrosse stick in his hand and scored a key goal.

And he did it again last week, lacrosse-style, so that’s our Play of the Week.

We welcome thoughts and comments from our viewers. We ask that everyone keep their remarks civil and respectful. Postings that contain profanity, racist, or potentially libelous remarks will be deleted. We will delete any commercial postings, as well.
