Police departments around state to accept unwanted prescription meds Saturday

LANSING, Mich. – Mid-Michigan is currently experiencing a surge in opioid drug abuse, and police are looking to crack down.

Police departments across the state are participating in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day this Saturday.

There is no charge for the service, but liquid and needle medications will not be accepted.

A list of participating departments can be found at michigan.gov.
