East Lansing Police to hold community forum

(WLNS) — In an effort to better connect with the community they serve, the East Lansing Police Department is holding a community forum Wednesday October 19th.

The forum will be lead by panel discussion, members include Chief Jeff Murphy, Black Lives Coordinator La Shawn Erby, Derrell Slaughter with the ACLU as well as several other community leaders.

Organizers are seeking feed back on what ELPD policies are working, and which ones need to be revisited.

The community forum is from 6pm-9pm at the Hannah Community Center on 819 Abbot Rd in East Lansing.

We welcome thoughts and comments from our viewers. We ask that everyone keep their remarks civil and respectful. Postings that contain profanity, racist, or potentially libelous remarks will be deleted. We will delete any commercial postings, as well.
