Search on for suspect after knife attack on Lansing River Trail

LANSING TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police are searching for a man they say randomly stabbed one person along the Lansing River Trail.

A 31-year-old man called police at around 8:30 p.m. last night from a nearby Admiral gas station on Kalamazoo Street.

The victim told police that he was walking down the Trail when a man ran out of the woods and stabbed him with a Swiss Army knife.  

No serious injuries were reported .

The trail was shut down overnight while officers searched for the suspect.

The search continues today and the trail has reopened.
