1 dead in two-car crash in Locke Township

UPDATE 1:55 p.m. – More details are being released about that fatal two-car crash in Locke Township this morning.

Ingham County Sheriff Gene Wriggelsworth tells 6 News that a car traveling south on Morrice Road collided with a northbound car that turned left into its path.

The driver of the southbound car was driven by a 16-year-old girl and her passengers were her 14-year-old brother and 11-year-old sister.

The 11-year-old died at the scene.

The 16-year-old was flown to a nearby hospital and the 14-year-old was taken by ambulance. Both are in serious condition.

All three are from the Webberville area.

The driver of the other car, a 21-year-old Stockbridge man, was uninjured.

Morrice Road was closed for three-and-a-half hours while investigators were on the scene. It is now open.

WEBBERVILLE, Mich (WLNS) – One person is confirmed dead as a result of a two car crash northeast of Webberville.

Ingham County Sheriff’s investigators tell 6 News that one person died in the crash just before 8:00 a.m.

The accident took place at Morrice and Allen Roads in Locke Township northeast of Webberville.

The road is closed until further notice and drivers should avoid the area until further notice.
