UPDATE 2:13 p.m. – The Eaton County Sheriff’s Office is confirming to 6 News that a 27-year-old Grand Ledge man is in critical condition as a result of today’s crash.
Three other people from Grand Ledge, a 35-year-old female, a 13-year-old child and a 74-year-old female were transported to a local hospital in serious condition.
Investigators say one vehicle westbound on M-43 went through a red light and struck a vehicle northbound on Nixon Road and also hit two other vehicles in the intersection.
EATON CO., Mich (WLNS) – You can expect delays now if you are driving on Saginaw Highway and Nixon Road in Eaton County.
A four-car accident just after 8:00 a.m. when two cars collided at the intersection of Saginaw and Nixon.
According to the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office a third car hit the back of one of those damaged cars and then a fourth car crashed into the vehicles.
Four people were taken to a local hospital.
6 News is told one of those victims is in critical condition and the other three are in serious condition.
Use caution in the area and expect delays while investigators clear the scene.
