Human trafficking forum to be held at Jackson College

JACKSON, Mich. – An event at Jackson College on October 12 will provide an in-depth look at the “modern reality” of human trafficking in Michigan.

According to Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette, human trafficking is the second biggest enterprise in Michigan, after drug trade.

The forum will run from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Bert Walker Hall Community Room.

Representative Tim Walberg and other speakers from the college and law enforcement will talk about what trafficking is, how its spreading, and how to spot it.

The event is free and open, and the public is encouraged to attend.
