Democrats roll out senators for voter registration drive

EAST LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – Today is the last day to register to vote in the November 8 general election and the Democrats are hitting the road.

Michigan’s U.S. Senators Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters will be joined by New Jersey U.S. Senator Cory Booker at the MSU Student Union at noon.

They’ll be rallying people to register to vote in the “Forward Together” tour.

It is also expected that they will be campaigning for Hillary Clinton and other candidates on the Democratic ballot.

The group will leave East Lansing and bus to Wayne State University for another student rally at 4:30 p.m. and then make a 6:00 p.m. appearance in downtown Detroit.

This Michigan bus tour is part of a series of campaign drives in more than twenty states now through Election Day.
