State Police troopers shoot woman after gun threat


HILLSDALE CO., Mich (WLNS) – Michigan State Police in Jackson County are investigating a shooting in which their troopers shot a Hillsdale County woman.

It all started with a domestic situation at a home in Camden Township Saturday afternoon.

That’s right on the state lines of Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.

According to State Police when troopers and deputies got on scene they found a woman with a gun.

They tried to calm her down but say she pointed the weapon at police and they were forced to shoot.

She was taken to University of Michigan Hospital where she is in stable condition and is expected to recover from her injuries.

The incident is under investigation.
