Michigan’s attorney general is joining the numerous Republicans who are criticizing presidential nominee Donald Trump for recorded comments he made about women.

The comments, recorded back in 2005, were first reported by the Washington Post.

“Women should be treated with respect and dignity, period” Bill Schuette said in a Facebook post late Friday night. “And, comments about women as objects or conquests are simply unacceptable.”

Trump sent out a late night video apologizing for the remarks.

The short Facebook post did not indicate whether Schuette will continue to support or vote for Trump.

We welcome thoughts and comments from our viewers. We ask that everyone keep their remarks civil and respectful. Postings that contain profanity, racist, or potentially libelous remarks will be deleted. We will delete any commercial postings, as well.
