A jury convicted a Lansing man today for a murder that happened back in August of 2015.
Bryant Collier will likely spend the rest of his life behind bars after the jury convicted him of stabbing and killing 27-year-old Antonio Francisco Bailey on August 14, 2015.
It happened along the 500 block of South Foster Street in Lansing.
Police arrived to find Bailey lying in a pool of blood. He was surrounded by friends who were trying to save his life.
He made it to the hospital, but doctors were not able to save him.
Police picked up Collier soon afterwards. He and Bailey knew each other and had been in some kind of fight.
Collier’s mugshot shows he suffered severe injuries to his face in that fight.
A judge will sentence Collier on November 2nd. Under Michigan law, the prosecutor’s office says he’ll get a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of parole.
