JACKSON, Mich (WLNS) – If you live in the city of Jackson you’ll want to make a note of this before you throw in your next load of laundry.
The city is flushing fire hydrants for the next three weeks and it may cause some discoloration in your water that could affect your clothes.
City officials say the water isn’t dangerous to drink but you may notice iron or other sediment as the mains are flushed.
The flushing started today in the southwest section of the city and will be finishing in the northeast in about 3 weeks.
