We hope it was worth the wait!
One person camped out for 27 hours to be among the first to get the new iPhone.
Apple fans started lining up on Thursday for the right to be among the first people to get the phone when the store at the Eastwood Towne Center opened on Friday morning.
The new phone is slimmer – in part because there’s no headphone jack – and faster than previous models.
Those two things were strong selling points for people who wanted to buy them.
“I think it’s a big step for apple because they tried to make it thinner,” said customer Yuanmeng Zhu.
“The processor in it is way faster, you’ll be so surprised about how quick it’ll move and go through everything,” said new phone owner Patricia Bono. “Sound quality – it’s got the stereo system in it and it’s dust and water resistant.”
The hardware will set folks back a pretty penny. The iPhone 7 starts at $649, and the 7+ goes for $769.
