This Morning : United Way Virtual Kick Off , ‘Rock the Block’ Preview

(WLNS) —  40 United Ways across Michigan teamed up for a virtual kick off week, that includes the Capital Area United Way.

Michelle Lantz, VP of Donor and Public Relations, stopped by 6 News This Morning to share details about the massive kick-off.

Each United Way are using the kick off to engage communities to give, advocate, and/or volunteer.

Your chance to volunteer with MICAUW is next week, when the non-profit teams up with Habitat for Humanity Capital Region for a ‘Rock the Block’.

Volunteers will be working the week of September 19th-23rd in a neighborhood near the Cristo Rey Community Center on High St. in Lansing.

Groups will be doing projects to revitalize the neighborhood like painting homes, and landscaping.

There’s still time to sign up and volunteer, click here for more information.
