DEVELOPING: Shooting at Jackson social services building

JACKSON, Mich (WLNS) – Jackson Police officers are investigating an apparent shooting at a social services building in Jackson.

According to the Jackson Police just after 12:30 p.m. officers responded to a report of shots being fired at the Lutheran Social Services building on the 700 block of W. Michigan Ave. but it wasn’t known if the shot came from inside or outside the building.

The building was evacuated as a precaution.

During the investigation officers found a bullet hole in a wall. One bullet was recovered in addition to, what investigators describe as, other evidence.

There were no injuries and there are no suspects.
