Storms knock out power, damage reported

(WLNS) – A string of heavy thunderstorms has knocked out power for hundreds of Consumers Energy customers in mid-Michigan.

In Stockbridge there are reports of trees and utility lines down in the area of M-52 near Elm Street.

According to the Consumers Energy Outage map there are approximately 609 customers in Holt without power, 280 northeast of Onondaga and 54 in Potterville.

Power is expected to be restored before 7:00 p.m.

The Lansing Board of Water and Light is reporting a handful of outages in Lansing and East Lansing with power to be restored before 9:30 p.m.

Detroit Edison’s power outage map shows a small area near Williamston is without power, impacting fewer than 100 people.
