Jackson Police put two men in jail last night, but not before checking them in to a hospital.

That’s because both men – a 20-year-old and a 37-year-old, both overdosed on heroin in two separate incidents.

The first one happened along the 200 block of N. Cooper St. That’s where police found the 20-year-old.

The second one happened along the 100 block of Fourth St.

Both men face charges of possession of heroin. The 37-year-old, who was on parole, also faces charges of violating his parole.

Heroin is a huge problem throughout the country, but is taking a big toll on Jackson, as well.
