Lansing Police: Howell High JV football team robbed during game

LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – The Howell High School Junior Varsity football team was thrown for a loss last night and now the Lansing Police are involved.

The team was at Lansing Everett Wednesday night for a game against the Vikings JV team.

When the Howell team returned to the locker room after the game they realized that they had been robbed.

According to Lansing school officials the team had been told the locker room would be locked and secure during the game but that did not happen.

Ten of the players lost items ranging from equipment bags, $600 cellphones and football equipment to headphones and shoes.

Lansing Police detectives are asking for anyone with information to call them at (517) 483-4674.
