OLIVET, Mich (WLNS) – We move to stop number 18 on the 6 Sports “Two-A-Days” tour: Olivet High School.
And the Eagles sometimes get lost in the local shuffle but shouldn’t really.
They have a fine program at Olivet.
Gabe Priddy is the coach and he has more than a pretty program. Olivet, the Eagles, they just always seem to have a decent team. They’re looking for big things this year. The Eagles also open next week and they’ve lost some players.
“It’s always hard to say goodbye to seniors when you have them. And it’s always kind of fun to see the next group and how they’re going toa respond as the leaders in the program,” says coach Priddy. “So the exciting thing for us this season is to see this group. Quite a few of them have grown up quite a bit from when they were freshman but it’s been a lot of fun to see that. And now it’s kind of their turn to take charge and to lead those beneath them so I’m looking forward to that this season. We’re looking good. I’m excited.”
“I’ve been working really hard in camp,” said senior quarterback Delbert Redfield. “I’m very pleased with the two a days. My last two a days and I’m glad that I’m here with my brothers and we’re working hard and we look pretty good as a squad.”
