JACKSON, Mich (WLNS) – There is an update for you tonight on a story we’ve been following for more than a year.
According to our media partners at MLive a Jackson County Circuit Court judge has ruled to defend Summit Township and its decision to stop development plans for a controversial adult couples club.
Here’s how this whole ordeal played out. Early last year developers purchased a property on Spring Arbor Road and started advertising the property as a future “adult couples club”.
That’s when the township blocked developers from opening the club through a zoning board’s decision.
The developers countered by suing the township, saying it violated their civil rights.
But a Jackson County judge ruled that the developers had failed to provide evidence of any civil rights violations.
