CHICAGO, IL (WLNS) – From some not so subtle Tweets, to starring in a rap video, the 2016 offseason was business as usual for Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, but with two weeks until the start of fall practice, Michigan’s leading man is keeping things simple entering Year 2.
“You can break it down into a number of different analogies: you can get a mile an hour faster. Get one percent better each day Get .01 percent better each day would be something to chase.” said the coach to the media on Monday.
But the coach doesn’t relish his position of being the face of the program as much as you think.
“Doesn’t mean anything to me I mean it doesn’t resonate at all, to say that have you relished being the face of a program more? It has no resonation with me”
Despite his seemingly large hubris, Harbaugh has earned the respect of his Big Ten East coaching peers.
“I mean I think he does a great job, he forces everybody to think outside of the box um he’s not satisfied just doing the things that have always been done.” Said first year Rutgers coach Chris Ash.
A lot of people are picking Michigan to do great things in 2016, and the Wolverines leading man wants his players to dream, and then some.
“You should set your your dreams so big that everybody laughs at them and if nobody is laughing at them then you didn’t set your goals high enough.” – said Harbaugh.
It’s no laughing matter, these Wolverines are hungry for a Big Ten Championship.
