Peace run makes its way through Jackson, MI today

(WLNS) – The 29th annual Oneness-Home Peace Run will make its way through Jackson today, which reaches over 100 nations and is the world’s largest and longest relay race.

The goal of the international race is to remind people of harmony and world peace, and this years route started April 17 and will end August 13.

The runners will reach Jackson around 4:40 p.m. coming east on Michigan Avenue.

The public is welcome to join the runners for a few yards or even a few miles.

The route covers more than 8,000 miles, and runners run an average of 80 to 100 miles per day.
