Vehicles ram houses in Lansing and Jackson

LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – This has not been a good couple of days for houses in Lansing and Jackson.

In Lansing a woman who police say was drunk drove into the side of a house on the 2400 block of Turner Street.

It happened just after 1:00 a.m. today and there were people inside the house but no one was hurt.

6 News is told police are seeking charges against the woman.

In Jackson another family is the victim of some unwanted renovations when a van drove into the porch of their home Wednesday.

According to our media partners at MLive the van smashed into the stone porch of the house on the 1600 block of Fourth Street.

Police say the 30-year-old man driving the van is currently on parole and he was taken to Henry Ford Allegiance Health for a possible heroin overdose.

He is in custody today at the Jackson County Jail.
