Papa’s playlist: A peek at Billboard’s favorite Father’s Day hits

(MEDIA GENERAL) — There’s all kinds of dads out there. And, no one knows how to memorialize the father figure better than musicians. Songs about our dads, becoming a dad or being a dad have become worldwide smash hits decades over.

From Luther Vandross’ tear-jerking “Dance with My Father” to Will Smith’s tender “Just the Two of Us,” songs about our fathers make us laugh and cry.

So, if you’re having brunch with dad this Sunday, prep a playlist just for papa. Here’s a peek at Billboard’s picks for its “Dear Daddy” Father’s Day playlist back in 2014.
