WILLIAMSTON, Mich (WLNS) – Are you looking to get some bang for your buck? The Williamston Chamber of Commerce is looking for you!

One of the great traditions in Williamston is the annual Fourth of July fireworks show.

For years it has been sponsored by the First Baptist Church but this year the church is unable to foot the bill. The church is willing to host the site, help out with set up, parking and managing the traffic.

So the Williamston Area Chamber of Commerce has launched a GoFundMe page in an effort to raise $5,500 to pay for the fireworks.

The deadline to raise the money is next Tuesday.

Chamber executive director Julie Rudd says if they don’t make the goal all donations will be returned.

We welcome thoughts and comments from our viewers. We ask that everyone keep their remarks civil and respectful. Postings that contain profanity, racist, or potentially libelous remarks will be deleted. We will delete any commercial postings, as well.
