LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – When it comes to HIV testing, education is key.

National testing day is later this month but a number of events sponsored by the Lansing Area AIDS Network are happening throughout June.

The first is Saturday at the Riverwalk Theatre in downtown Lansing.

From 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. you can get tested for free.

The test, which is the Rapid HIV Test, gives results as little as a half hour with only a drop of blood needed.

Then on Saturday June 25th testing will be available for national testing day in Old Town Lansing from 4:00 p.m. until midnight.

HIV testing will be held at the Diversity Psychological Service Building on Turner Street.

Anyone who comes out and gets tested early on the 25th will take home a $20 gift card while supplies last.
