Person arrested after car crash into bicycle injures 3-year-old, 2 others

INGHAM COUNTY, MI (WLNS) – A 22-year-old Ingham Co. resident has been arrested after officials say the person crashed into a bicycle and later left the scene of the accident.

It happened around 7:40 p.m. on Monday, May 30 along Plains Rd. near Tuttle Rd. in Ingham County.

Officials say two men were riding a tandem bike with a 3-year-old child when they were hit by a car.

All three people were injured.

Officials say the driver of the car stopped and helped, but then left the scene of the accident before Ingham Co. officers arrived.

The 3-year-old who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash had to be taken to a local hospital.

Both men were treated for their injuries on scene.

Charges are being sought for the 22-year-old at this time.
