Jackson Police investigate early morning homicide

JACKSON, MI (WLNS) – Police in Jackson are in the midst of a homicide investigation, after man crashes his car into a home and is found with a gunshot wound.

It started just before 3:30 a.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of South Milwaukee Street in Jackson.

Officers originally responded to that neighborhood for a shots fired call, but after investigating the situation, police were lead to the 900 block of South Milwaukee where they discovered a vehicle had crashed into a home there.

The driver, a 23 year-old Lansing man, was taken to Henry Ford Allegiance hospital where he later died.

At this point, the name of the victim has not yet been released and no arrests have been made.

Police in Jackson are actively investigating this incident and are asking for your help.
