Water Safety: Lifeguard lanyards are poolside safety reminders

LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – As part of our Water Safety special reports we shared with you some reminders about pool safety. If you own a swimming pool you understand how important it is to have safety on top of everyone’s mind when they’re near the water. Keeping track of children when they’re in, or near, the water can be a challenge. To help, 6 News has developed a lanyard with a loud whistle and attached card with reminders for the adult watching young swimmers. The card will be folded inside a clear plastic holder and reads:

If you’re a pool owner you can pick up your free Water Safety lanyard from the following merchants beginning Thursday, May 26 during regular business hours:
